Olympic Block Party
Back in the day black and white TV's were the must have, then came colour followed by widescreen. These days nothing less than a huge pyramid projection cuts the mustard. Welcome to the Vancouver 2010 Opening Ceremonies Summerhill style. No stranger to gold medals for their wine, Summerhill celebrated Canada's quest for gold by projecting the event onto the side of their big white pyramid and inviting the community for a good old fashion block party knees up. The surprisingly, and thankfully, mild evening was warmed further by the clapping and cheering of attending families enjoying their slice of Olympic atmosphere. The event was also a fund raiser for the Kelowna Professional Firefighters Charitable Society.
