Classic Fare Catering Reaches Out to Community
The Kelowna & District Society for Community Living enjoyed the benefit of some first-class culinary skill at UBC Okanagan in January as ARAMARK and Classic Fare Catering played host to a delicious Open House to showcase their comprehensive campus catering services. Guests enjoyed a range dishes from a wide variety of regions and traditions. We were told that Culinary Director Mathew Morazain and his team strive to use locally grown fruits and vegetables in an effort to promote sustainability in the Okanagan Valley-always a welcome goal. Even better, the silent auction raised over $500 and gave the enthusiastic team from the Society an opportunity to showcase the plans for their much-needed and worthwhile building project. The KDSCL has been a mainstay in the community for over 50 years, delivering valuable services to those with disabilities; you can visit their website kdscl.ca to learn more.
