Conduit Festival; Art, Music, Crafts & Ideas…
How do you describe a festival that promotes arts, music, food, crafts in a healthy and eco-friendly manner? Why you might call it a "Conduit" to a sustainable future. That was the idea Gape Sipes had after the success of the previous Cakewalk festivals, and judging from the overwhelming turn-out this time around, it was an absolute success. It was an eclectic mix of performers, exhibits, and local products that absolutely packed the walls of the Rotary Arts Centre. In fact, the venue was so chock full of various exhibits that in the matter of minutes, one could sample some local food and drink, watch a puppet show, discuss some artwork with strangers, and listen to a band while fire spinners light up the background. It truly was a fantastic festival that shows how rich and vibrant the art community is in the Okanagan valley.
