Kelowna Women's Art Festival
This 'first of its kind' festival featured original art designed and created by women. There was live entertainment throughout the day, refreshments, a silent auction, and a special keynote address from local company Dare to Be. Angela Roy of Expression led an interactive rhythmic art workshop that had participants groovin' and smiling, while other performances included Samba Tribe and Goddess Rising by Cindy Lee. What a great way to celebrate women’s art in our community, with the bonus that all proceeds benefited the Kelowna Women's Resource Centre. Congratulations to Okanagan College business students Kim McIntyre and Lindsay Phillips who organized this great event as part of their course requirements!
