2008 November > Peak to Beak

There is a difference between jogging and running. Jogging is what people do on a particular Sunday afternoon when they realise that 10 years have passed and they've neglected to perform any exercise. Running requires a little more dedication. Running hurts. Running makes you look a bit ugly as you cross the line. Finishing the Peak to Beak race is guaranteed to make you smelly and ugly so it was a surprise to see so many at the event. Start at the top of Knox Mountain where a grueling downhill stretch destroys your thighs, you head to City Park, over the bridge and then suffer the indignity of a number of hill climbs up to Quails Gate winery which destroys everything else. To those that finished the 18k course, we salute you!
