Ballet Kelowna’s sixth season opening claimed to be bold, romantic and provocative. It was difficult to argue with that. Featured were a new ballet choreographed by Ballet Kelowna Artistic Director
David LaHay to Maurice Ravel’s famous ‘Bolero’; a newly commissioned piece by Montreal Choreographer Gioconda Barbuto; and a new, longer version of David LaHay’s well received ‘Liebeslieder Waltzes’ inspired by the Johannes Brahms song cycle.
