2008 November > Songstress Jackee Guillou and friends at RCA
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, and if you were in the mood for some soothing smooth jazz to quiet your jangled nerves, the Mary Irwin Theatre at RCA was the place to be. Vancouver singer songwriter Jackee Guillou was in Kelowna to entertain us with her jazz and pop vocal stylings, accompanied by amazing guitarist Gavin Youngash. Jackee's repertoire included 1940's style old jazz standards, Brazilian bossa-nova, and her own original music. As if all that variety wasn't enough, and to add a little extra spice, we were treated to professional Salsa Latin dancing by Kelowna’s own Warren Eaton and Latinesque Dance Co. Culture, alive and well in Kelowna!
