2008 November > CIBC Run for the Cure

Over 3,000 people were expected top attend the CIBC Run for the Cure ay Tugboat Bay raising a whopping $400,000 in support of breast cancer. Two options, a 1k walk or a 5k run, gave everyone the opportunity to join in. The sea of white and pink next to the lake was quite a sight and it took quite a while for them to slowly funnel through the start gate, over the boardwalk and towards City Park. But this was not a race, more a mass coming together for the Breast Cancer Charity and many people had gathered in teams, some in memory of a loved one or friend who had lost their battle to the illness.
