2008 November > Nutty Harvest

BC’s oldest nut farm (insert the sanitarium gag of your choice here) held their Fall Harvest Festival in September. For those that haven't visited Gellatly Nut Farm on the west side it is a park like setting boasting a huge variety of nut trees. A picnic area and lakeside beach make it a great summer retreat, walking spot or location for wedding pictures. A barbecue lunch kicked things off with plenty of entertainment and kids activities to keep the little ones quiet. Booths displayed the works of local artists and the produce of local farmers while a final ‘Music on the Move’ performance of the season gave the event a classic feel.
