The touching play that has captivated thousands of theatergoers globally is premiering in the Okanagan in its 10th year this summer. The Shoreline Theatre, in partnership with the Kelowna Museums, presents Stephen Massicotte’s critically acclaimed Mary’s Wedding at the Laurel Packinghouse downtown Kelowna June 20 to July 1, 2012.

Okanagan-born actors Jackie Faulkner and Mack Gordon return home to enact the compelling characters of Mary and Charlie, two young sweethearts in the midst of the First World War. Told through the subconscious mind of Mary, the play draws you into the morphing settings of war trenches, prairies and thunderstorms as her relationship with Charlie unfolds in a dreamlike timeline. Deeply moving, Mary’s Wedding incorporates the poetic works of Tennyson, gripping battles and love amongst war.

Tickets available exclusively at the Okanagan Heritage Museum while quantity lasts. Adults $32.50, $15.00 for seniors and students. 370 Queensway Avenue, Kelowna, BC.
